Challenge

The room required a reliable Google Meet hardware setup using a Logitech Rally Bar Mini and Tap IP controller. The main challenge was ensuring the Tap IP received proper PoE power, connected to the same network as the Rally Bar Mini, and could be enrolled correctly into Google Admin for meeting room use.

Approach

I connected the Rally Bar Mini, display, network, and Tap IP according to the AV setup requirements. I tested PoE connectivity for the Tap IP, checked network communication, confirmed device boot behaviour, and prepared the room system for Google Meet hardware enrollment. I also followed the example configuration by assigning the device to the correct room calendar and verifying connected peripherals.

Outcome

The setup provided a dedicated Google Meet room system with integrated camera, speaker, microphone, and Tap IP controller. The room can now be managed through Google Admin, linked to a calendar resource, and used for scheduled video meetings with a more consistent and professional meeting experience.
